An Uninvited Guest

I wished I had stayed there, yet here I am Waiting for someone before I die soon And here a comes a soul who I hope will save my life Yes, he does and takes me in both his hands Make no mistake this time, I remind myself, I clutched his hands tightly as I enter I slide through an opening, finding my way in Too bad he does not know who I am The breathing lungs and it’s shiny receptors look attractive, The beating heart and it’s cadent cells too seem to invite me So are the idle intestines and it’s twisting tubes at a distant Clueless where to go, we march all over My tribe starts multiplying even before he kn ows Yet he realises at last and begins panicking Off he sends his courageous cytokines, who come to be my comrades If only he washed his hands before taking me in.

Of Twists and Turns

Have you heard the saying, some persons can trip even by walking on a bed of grass or not come out of a wet paper sack? Well, here is the story of my friend- From auto tyres overshooting her foot to an allergic eye due to a thumb sized cucumber, her life has been brimming with such incidents. For instance, levelled lanes and busy railover bridges where people go about their daily drills, do set the stage for her to experience minor carnage moments by either stumbling or falling over. Since such accidents could not be foretold, no backstops could be taken. No trip also goes off unaided by any type of twinges. Once it resulted at a time where a week long trip was accompanied by a cross neck due to a neck pull only from a few minutes of nap. Not only are such adventures inclined towards her, even creepy crawlies are attracted to her. Mosquitoes and bedbugs round only her up at gatherings and groups to quench their cravings, thus her blood earning the title to be so sweet that

A Forlorn Life of a Farmer

Bright sun shone on his vast barren meadows, His downcast face prayed for an even existence,   With a burdened brain and a fear of future, He dreamt of a miracle uplifting his life. Canal where Cauvery had spread it's wings, Now runs with sweat and tears of his likes, His hands which took care of thousands, Now strives to fill stomachs of few. With his bills building up and choices falling off, The light of hope began to blur With nature too ceasing to lend a hand, He learnt no God can help him.                                             And thus chose to take his own life, Believing his woes would be noticed, With no stable solution still, His death became one among the many

A True Event….

Not so long ago lived a light-hearted lass  In a homely household of a tireless town  So modest, yet laughter adorned her walls,  So gullible, yet so gentle too Twas her perfect prime, her parents presumed,  Twas a solemn span, her brother signed in  Twas a sound say, she sensed too  Twas the right time to lead her to altar, they all surmised Off were relayed messages not so far, In pursuit of a white-collared stag  For he holds the pivot to a prospect as solid as rock  An angle, not his aspect nor his aura were prime They did hit upon one in much haste. After much quibble and squabble on endowment A marriage accord was clinched with a shred of comfort. Yet only time will tell if it was a fair  compromise...

Of Love and Death From the day he laid his eyes on her, He resolved to never give her up, Pined for a fortune in protecting her, And forever did meet her, close up! He was over the moon that day, And as happy as a lark, Till death he vowed not to part away, He knew, even her love was stark Slowly and slyly clouded death, He feared he would fail his mission, Swore to serve her till his final breath, Yet there rests his body in the hands of the mortician Entire nation consoled his widowed wife, And paid tribute to this warrior, so gallant Who selflessly sacrificed his life, For her, our country, so vibrant.

Of fun, friendship and farewell!! Countless exciting exchanges and many daily discourses, These delights never had dearth of sources! We ridiculed each other, We cared for one another. Wearying weeks turned out welcoming, Placid periods made more pleasing. A bond that bloomed during recess, Growing stronger nonetheless. As goes the trend, All good things must come to an end. From being the fabulous foursome, Will be missing someone so awesome.    Memories will linger, Wishing our fascinating friendship grows longer. For your hearty health and a lyrical life, we pray. Bidding you au revoir, Kay!!
